About Our Department – Tualatin Police

The Tualatin Police Department is an accredited, full-service professional organization, providing emergency services for the City of Tualatin and the City of Durham, with 39 sworn officers and eight non-sworn, professional staff members.

The department consists of Uniformed Patrol, Detectives, Traffic Officers, School Resource Officers, Community Services Officer (Code Enforcement), Police Services Technicians, Property & Evidence Technician, and Administrative Staff.

The men and women within the Tualatin Police Patrol Division are highly trained and adept in responding to emergencies and calls for service.

The Traffic Team officers patrol the City during the highest traffic impact times and enforce traffic laws, investigate traffic crashes and educate the motoring public.

Police Services provides records management, information and assistance to the public and government agencies, property/evidence control and parking permit services.

The Tualatin Police Department School Resource Unit is charged with providing liaison and services to community schools.

Ftr Boone — Patrol Dog
K9 Boone
K9 Boone’s primary function will be to augment patrol as a locating tool through the detection of human odor, which includes humans and articles humans have touched.

Ftr Drea — Drug Detection Dog
K9 Drea
K9 Drea is certified in heroin, methamphetamine, cocaine and fentanyl detection.

Ftr Onyx — Therapy Dog
K9 Onyx
Onyx is trained to assist with employee wellness, victim support, crisis response, and community outreach.
